Developed over the span of 10 days for the 2024 GameDev.TV Game Jam. 

Shadow of the Paladin is an immersive 2D action-adventure game set in a dark and mysterious castle. You must venture into the heart of the keep, teeming with formidable enemies. Your mission is to battle the darkness within the castle's depths and restore light to the kingdom.

Gameplay

In Shadow of the Paladin, players will experience intense combat, intricate platforming, and challenging puzzles(eventually :). Fight your way through hordes of enemies and uncover hidden treasures. Use your skills to navigate treacherous environments.

Story

The kingdom once flourished under the protection of the Paladins, a noble order sworn to defend the realm from evil. But a great darkness entered the keep, and the Paladins have been vanquished. You are the last of your kind, a shadow of your former self tasked to cleanse the ancient castle of its malevolent curse.

As you delve deeper into the castle, you will encounter spectral knights, deadly traps, and twisted creatures born of shadow. Gather ancient relics and powerful artifacts to aid you in your quest. Only by mastering your skills and uncovering the castle's darkest secrets can you hope to restore light to the kingdom and bring peace to the land.

About the developer

Hi there! I'm an aspiring game developer who first got into game development after discovering a Humble Bundle with some fantastic GameDev.tv courses. From that moment, I was hooked. Creating games has become my passion, and I dedicate my free time to learning and improving my skills.

I enjoy exploring different aspects of game development, from coding in C# for Unity to designing intricate game mechanics and visual elements or just using Unity to visualize aspects of the physical world.
